July 9th, 2010

I’m exposing the real secrets of poker. I’m about to reveal the best kept secrets of the poker pro’s. How do they succeed? How are they so good? Read on to find out now.

People often wonder what are the real secrets of poker. Sure you know all about the strategies, the tactics, like loose-aggressive and all the rest. You know you should steal blinds, take advantage of table position, and even bluff if you can get away with it. But what are the real secrets behind the success of the true poker professionals?

I know that some of you already know how to play poker well whilst others have a good grasp of the game but are still having troubles really profiting from their endeavours. I know that you, like me, are interested in uncovering the real secrets of poker. That’s why it’s well worth your time reading this article.

Real Secrets Of Poker – The Best Kept Secret Of The Poker Pro’s

The best kept secrets of the poker pro’s. The one thing they utilise to succeed whilst others neglect it and fail is quite profound. It can’t be bought, traded or given. It can’t even really be learnt but must actually bee cultivated. I’m talking about faith.

Faith is a confidence or trust in something. You can have faith in a person, like yourself and your own ability. You can have it in other people, like that another player will make a certain move or is playing a certain way. You can even have faith in a higher power (to avoid any arguments we’ll call it life). Your faith in life at the poker table may provide you with the strength, trust or certainty to make a certain move or call a certain raise, like for example calling an all-in.

Faith is a belief that is not based on proof. This is where these real secrets of poker get sticky and confusing. There is a difference between blindly and stupidly kidding yourself and ignoring the facts and actually having substantiated faith that something is going to work out. A good example would be the difference between constantly playing loose and losing hands thinking ‘oh well I’ll trick them next time’ and constantly playing tight, folding most of you hands having the the faith that you’ll pick up a good hand and make back all your lost blinds.

Craps History – Secrets Revealed – Mystery Removed

June 24th, 2010

In this article you will discover how easily misleading information about craps history has been circulated, without being questioned. You will also find out how this reality can prevent you from winning at craps.

For many years, the game of craps has been an addictive force on the gambling public. Why did I say addictive?

There is just one area in the casino where you will find a group of people, with a common goal, all cheering for one individual…the craps tables. Poker? The crowd around the poker tournament area happens to be mostly spectators. Around the craps table, those cheering are winning as a group, usually due to the effort of one individual at a time.

For the shooter on a hot roll, and the others benefiting from the roll, each has a compelling reason to want to come back for more. Nothing beats the excitement and overwhelming sense of accomplishment experienced by winning! This is what makes craps one of the most exciting and popular games in the casino. Well naturally, at some point you have to ask, how did all of this start? What is the history of craps?

The answer to this simple question will always be necessary. People are not inclined to ignore history. Why? As humans, we have a sense of curiosity that causes us to ask questions. It has always been important to understand who, what, why, when, where and how. However, there are those times where we fall short on questioning the source.

If you were to take a moment right now and do a search for “craps history,” you will find many sites offering a similar version. Sure, the words are not the same, but the versions are quite similar.

Most sources you find will agree that the history of craps goes as far back as what many would characterize as 12th Century England. (Hmm, does that mean it was only the 12th Century in England? I think I’ll check this out later.) I digress. At least one source says that this was during the time of the Third Crusade.

Further reading will show that most feel the game evolved from an English game often referred to as Hazard. This game, played by the knights of Sir William of Tyre, helped them pass time while they were waiting to conquer a castle known as Hazarth. Some say this battle of Hazarth occurred on June 11, 1125.

That is what the experts will tell you. Here are the facts.

There is an English game called Hazard. The modern game of craps did evolve from this game. The few sources that say the origin of Hazard is unclear are the ones telling the truth.

A thorough study of the Crusades will show that the one battle of record during 1125 was the battle of Azaz. The battle was fought by knights and soldiers commanded by King Baldwin II of Jerusalem. The only William of Tyre during this period was born in Jerusalem around five years after the battle of Azaz, in 1130. He was an archbishop and noted as a chronicler of the time covering the Crusades and the Middle Ages.

As for the reference to the Third Crusade, it occurred during the years 1187 through 1192.

Blah, blah, blah. So someone missed a couple of facts. What difference does that make? I am glad you asked.

If the experts can get something as simple as the history of craps wrong, by following the crowd, what does that say about the experts when it comes to their explaining how to play craps, and more importantly, how to win at craps?

Let’s face it, when you buy the craps systems and craps strategies and never question the source, how can you be sure the information you depend on is not missing important facts? How many times have you been disappointed with the latest craps system that you felt was a total fraud?

Why does it seem like most craps systems, craps strategies, and methods to beat craps, continue to lose?

Does this mean that the experts who say the game of craps cannot be beaten have given you all the facts? Have they told everything?

The solution to this problem is simple, but requires a change in thinking. You must take action by questioning the source(s) of information you read.

As you have seen above, some facts are left out… some are overlooked. This occurs for either selfish reasons or simple ignorance. The onus is yours to find the truth. Then and only then can you truly determine if your knowledge, based on misleading information, is the factor preventing you from winning the game of craps.

Craps Secrets Revealed, Mystery Removed

June 23rd, 2010

What is the most exciting, action-packed, mysterious, confusing, complicated looking, crowd cheering game in the casino? If you said “I don’t know…” – chances are you have never stepped foot into a casino. If you guessed “craps” – you are right. However, despite its popularity, why is there so much mystery attached to the game of craps?

Continue reading and you will witness hidden secrets and mysteries about the game uncovered. You will finally understand the game of craps like never before. So, to get started, let’s take a closer look at this fascinating casino game called craps.

To begin with, craps is one of the oldest games in the casino. Craps is a dice game, usually played on a long, felt covered table. The craps table layout is marked with many different betting areas offering the widest selection of betting opportunities in the casino. This is the major reason craps is the most intimidating casino game to most new players.

The truth is simple… you do not need to understand all the betting areas and betting options in order to play the game, most of those bets offer terrible odds against you. This is where the casinos and many craps experts take advantage of you. Eliminate the confusion by focusing on the bets with the lowest odds against you. Don’t worry; I’ll cover those bets shortly.

There are four table employees. The boxman who is in charge of the table (handles cash, supervises table, and sits in center of table closest to chips). The dealers who handle many of the bets (there are usually two dealers, one on either side of the boxman). Finally, the stickman (stands directly across table from boxman), who passes the dice around with a long stick — announces the result of dice rolls and takes bets in the center of the table.

At the craps table there will always be one player called the shooter. The shooter rolls the dice and must make a bet in order to roll. However, anyone at the table can make a bet at any time. Your objective is to roll the dice as long as possible before you give up the dice.

Simply put, once you roll either the number four, five, six, eight, nine or ten (these are called point numbers); you want to repeat your point number before rolling a seven. If you do not, you must give up the dice. The dice will then go to the next player in order that wants to be a shooter.

The other players can either bet for you or against you. Here is an important tip — do not assume that you and the other players are betting against the casino. In fact, even if you are the only one at the craps table, you are still not betting against the casino. The casino, because of the rules and the odds of the game, earns a small percentage from each bet.

No, not everyone is willing to tell you this, but now you know. So, all the money played at the craps table is split between all the players, with a small portion going to the casino. Ignore anyone that tries to tell you differently.

One of the biggest secrets to know is simple – reduce the amount of the casino’s built-in profit by making bets with the lowest odds against you. The following bets offer some of the lowest odds in the casino – the pass line (even lower with odds), the don’t pass line (also lower with odds), the come bet (lower with odds) and the don’t come bet (also lower with odds).

The final secret I will reveal that should also remove much of the mystery of the game of craps is this – Craps is designed so that everyone will win at some point and everyone will lose at some point. The true key is to win more when you are winning, and lose less when you are losing. As simple as that sounds, most players fail to do so.

Be sure to remember the following: Ignore the majority of bets on the craps table because the odds are terrible – Focus on the bets with the lowest odds against you – Understand that you are really playing against the other players, the casino just gets a small percentage from all players because of the rules and the odds – Finally, everyone will win some and lose some, be sure you win more money when winning and lose less when losing.
